Advisory and research service

Basic information and the answering of simple enquiries that can be handled within 30 minutes (e.g. publisher information, supplementing of bibliographical quotes, brief biographical information, etc.) are free of charge.

Simply come to the information counter during service times (Monday to Friday, 9.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m.), contact us by telephone (Tel.: +43 1 534 10-444) or send us your written enquiry by e-mail or post. For short questions we recommend contacting us by chat or via the messenger-app Signal (onb_infoservices.50) or scan the QR-Code under contact) 

Would you like to do your own research but are unsure about the right search strategy? We are happy to provide you with support in the course of an individual consultation so that you can make the best use of information sources available.

For research work lasting longer than 30 minutes as well as individual consultations, we charge EUR 29,- per half hour (regardless of whether the desired information result can be achieved or not).You only incur costs once the free research time has expired and a research order is made. Please note that reproductions are subject to an additional charge.
