Ever since it was founded, the Department of Papyri has also been a research centre for scholars working to decode, edit and evaluate the texts.
In this way, we fulfil our mandate and prepare the highly demanding original artefacts, setting them in their historical context and making them accessible for a wider circle of academics and interested parties.
