The Papyrus Museum will be open on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
On all other days between December 25, 2025 and January 6, 2026, the regular opening hours apply for the State Hall and the five museums (State Hall open from 9 a.m.).
The reading rooms at Heldenplatz and of Picture Archive and Graphics Departement, as well as the Papyrus Museum and the House of Austrian History, will be closed on Wednesday, December 3, from 4 p.m. and all day on Thursday, December 4, and Friday, December 5 due to a police closure at Heldenplatz.
All other facilities of the Austrian National Library will be open as usual.
The Papyrus Museum offers barrier-free access.
Admission through the central gate of the Neue Hofburg (use the left ramp, right gate wing can be opened using a special key or registration via the intercom).
