There are different ways of becoming part of the Society of Friends of the Austrian National Library:

Friends

As a Friend (annual membership fee EUR 65,-) you enjoy a wide range of benefits in an extraordinary ambience:

• free admission to the State Hall, the Literature Museum, the Papyrus Museum, the Globe Museum, the Esperanto Museum and the House of Austrian History and to all special exhibitions
• invitations to exhibition openings and other events
• Participation in the exclusive Friends Programme
• Invitation to the annual reception of the Director General
• an annual subscription to the ÖNB magazine free of charge
• Discounts at partner institutions 

As a sponsor (EUR 390,- per year**) you will also receive:

• invitations to selected VIP events
• one exhibition catalogue per year
• mention of name on the homepage

Amounts in excess of the membership fee and the value of the associated consideration are tax deductible.

Gift memberships

You can also give memberships as gifts. In an attractive voucher as an unusual gift for birthdays, anniversaries and celebrations, you can give bibliophiles a special treat.

 
Membership for students

Become a member for only EUR 35,- per year! The Young Friends of the Austrian National Library (students up to the age of 27) 

• enjoy the museums of the Austrian National Library with free admission
• meet each other at exhibition openings, curator tours and behind-the-scene events
• receive reduced admission to the partner institutions Alumni-association of the University of Vienna, Belvedere, Filmarchiv Austria, Jewish Museum Vienna, Kunstmeile Krems, MUMOK, Sigmund Freud Museum, Theater an der Wien, Theater in der Josefstadt, as well as the events of the Friends of the Vienna State Opera, the Vienna Konzerthaus and the MuTh - Concert Hall of the Vienna Boys' Choir
