In November 2018, the House of Austrian History opened in the rooms of the Neue Burg to mark the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Austria. A new museum was thus added to the Austrian National Library. It is concerned with the mediation of and lively dialogue on Austrian contemporary history.
The State Hall and all museums of the Austrian National Library will be open on Easter Monday, April 21, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The reading rooms at Heldenplatz will be closed from Good Friday, April 18, 2025 until Easter Monday, April 21, 2025.
