Become a Danube sponsor

We invite you to sponsor a historical, picturesque view of the Danube. In total, "Two hundred four and sixty Danube views according to the course of the Danube river from its origin to the outflow into the Black Sea" are available for selection.

The 264 high-quality lithographs from 1826 show places in the countries along the Danube at that time - Baden, Württemberg, Hohenzollern, Bavaria, Austria, Hungary, Syrmia, Bannat, Bulgaria, Wallachia, Moldavia, Bessarabia and Türkey.

A 19th century depiction of your home community, a memory of a beautiful vacation or a nostalgic reminder of your next travel destination - let the Danube views inspire you and take on a sponsorship. You can also give a sponsorship as a gift for a special occasion, be it a birthday, wedding or anniversary.

With a sponsorship you support the Austrian National Library in the restoration and conservation of valuable objects.

For a donation of 500,- euros

• you are forever linked to your chosen Danube watercolor,
• you will receive a sponsorship certificate with your chosen name and the title of your sponsored work,
• a bookplate will be attached to the work, documenting the personal, lifelong relationship.
