The advancement of women is very important to the Austrian National Library. Therefore, we pursue a women’s advancement plan, with the primary aim of keeping the share of women in the total number of permanent employees as well as the proportion of women in executive positions at a minimum of 50%, or in case of under-representation, to reach that proportion.
Other goals are active gender equality policies, generally avoiding any discrimination of women, increasing acceptance of men taking parental leave, and improving the compatibility of family and career for both women and men.
Due to an event, the State Hall will close at 6 p.m. on Thursday, November 14.
