Here you can find our opening times throughout the year.
Your reading room ticket is only valid in the department’s reading room. To visit the museum, you need a separate ticket, which you can purchase either directly at Palais Mollard or online via our ticket shop.
A day ticket or annual membership card for the library also provides access to the department’s reading room.
You can browse all the documents in the department’s holdings, although in some cases you might need to ask for a special permission due to copyright restrictions. The library staff in charge will provide you with further details.
Please note that archive material as well as books bequested to the department can only be viewed in our reading room. Books from the open shelves collection can be lent out to patrons in possession of a special permission.
You can place your order with the library staff or via e-mail: esperanto[at]onb.ac.at. If the record or book in question can be found in our catalogue, you can also request scans via the catalogue entry. An overview of the digitisation costs and the usage fees can be found in the price list.
The scanning of archive material in the reading room is not permitted; photography is allowed only without flash and with permission from an authorised member of the archive staff.
Please send your written request with details regarding the required objects at least 6 months prior to the start of the exhibition to the department’s postal address or via e-mail to esperanto[at]onb.ac.at. Click here to view our terms and conditions.
Please send your written query to esperanto[at]onb.ac.at or, when visiting the reading room, ask the library staff for help.
