Become a flower sponsor

We would like to invite you to sponsor a historic depiction of flowers from the imperial collections.

The enchanting watercolors by the great court botanical painter Mathias Schmutzer include some
1,300 different plant species and were commissioned by Emperor Franz II/ I. (1768-1835).

Help to save this unique flowering splendor from wilting. By becoming a sponsor, you can support the Austrian National Library in the restoration and conservation of these and many other unique objects. Give the gift of perpetual bloom to someone special. Sponsorships are gifts for eternity. Whether for birthdays, weddings or anniversaries, there is a suitable work for every occasion in the collections of the Austrian National Library.

For a donation of 500,- euros

• you are forever linked to your chosen flower watercolor,
• you will receive a sponsorship certificate with your chosen name and the title of your sponsored work,
• a bookplate will be attached to the work, documenting the personal, lifelong relationship.
