Opening hours public holidays readings rooms at Heldenplatz and collections

The reading rooms at Heldenplatz and the collections are closed on public holidays so as on April 7, 8, 9 and 10, 2023.
In the museums - despite of the State Hall - the regular opening hours are valid. The State Hall is open on Monday April 10.

Early closure on Wednesday 12 April 2023

On Wednesday 12 April 2023 the State Hall is closing at 3 pm due to an event.

Restauration works in the State Hall

The occasional restoration work is still being carried out in the State Hall. This may lead to sporadic minor disturbances, above all of an acoustic nature. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Special Opening Times State Hall

The State Hall is open on Monday 10 April , Monday May 1 and Monday 29 May 2023.

Modified opening hours on 13 April 2023

Due to an employees meeting the Reading Rooms at Heldenplatz, the Department of Manuscripts and Rare Books and the Archives of the Austrian Folk Song Institute do not open before 11.30 a.m. on April 13. For the State Hall as well as the museums the regular opening hours are valid.
