What happens after finding a topic for your "VWA"? In this new, purely virtual format, we present free online research tools (for holders of an ÖNB annual ticket) to search for digital sources: literature, images and historical and current newspaper articles. Your students will learn how to use catalogs, databases and portals of the Austrian National Library and how to use reputable sources. A virtual tour of the library as well as information on further support offers and the use of the analogue holdings of the Austrian National Library round off the webinar.
After the lecture, we are available in the chat room to answer questions and, building on the webinar, support your students personally as part of our information services Mon-Fri. from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on site.

This programme is aimed at individual school-children who are looking for support in researching a school project: The content includes guidance on catalogue searches, advice on individual search strategies – without going into a specific topic – as well as an introduction to selected databases, together with an introduction to the library user area at Heldenplatz. The number of participants is limited and the programme is intended for individuals, not school classes.

Upon request, a tour of the library's user area at Heldenplatz is also available. Please note: The programme does not include the preparation of literature lists or the discussion of individual topics; the consultation hour is intended as a guide to the individual’s own research.
