If you need books or magazine articles that are not available at any publicly accessible » library in Vienna, we are happy to order these for you from anywhere in Europe by means of an interlibrary loan.

Please note that all orders are subject to a fee.

Ordering
Please note that only orders made using the online form in » QuickSearch can be processed. When ordering, you acknowledge that any copies made are for your own use only and are not passed on to third parties.

We will inform you by email once the ordered work has arrived.

Duration
Please expect it to take between two and three weeks to obtain the ordered work.

Use
The ordered media are issued and taken back at the book issue desk near the Main Reading Room (LS 1) in the Heldenplatz client area from Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Please settle any fees there. Books may only be used in the reading rooms of the Austrian National Library. Copies shall become the property of the orderer.

Costs
Orders from the holdings of Austrian libraries:
Books per volume: EUR 3.00
Copies per order: EUR 1.50
Costs per admission: EUR 0.35
Orders from the holdings of foreign libraries:
Books per volume: EUR 15.00
Copies of up to five admissions: EUR 5.00
Costs of six admissions or more: EUR 11.00
Please note that additional costs may be incurred depending on the fees charged by delivery services and individual libraries.
