Due to an employees meeting the Reading Rooms at Heldenplatz and the collections do not open before 11.30 a.m. on December 19. For the State Hall as well as the museums the regular opening hours are valid.
The reading rooms at Heldenplatz and the collections are closed on public holidays so as on December 8, December 24, December 25, December 26 and December 31, 2022; January 1 and January 6, 2023.
In the museums the regular opening hours are valid.
The following opening hours apply to the Literature, Papyrus, Globe and Esperanto Museums:
Saturday 24 December 2022 from 10 am to 3 pm
Sunday 25, Monday 26, Tuesday 27, Wednesday 28, Friday 30 and Saturday 31 December 2022 from 10 am to 6 pm
Thursday 29 December 2022 from 10 am to 9 pm
From 1 to 2 January 2023, the State Hall and all museums will be open from 10 am to 6 pm. On all other days, the regular opening hours apply.
The State Hall will be closed for restoration work from July 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022. During this time, no guided tours or visits can take place in the State Hall. We thank you for your understanding. Alternatively, visit the museums of the Austrian National Library: the Literature Museum, the Papyrus Museum, the Globe Museum, the Esperanto Museum and the House of Austrian History look forward to your visit! With the Universal week ticket for EUR 10,- in seven days to all five museums, valid until December 31, 2022. Tickets available at the service desks only.
