The Department of Planned Languages of the Austrian National Library is home to the world’s largest specialist library for interlinguistics, documenting around 500 planned languages. In addition to Esperanto, the most important planned language in the world today, these also include Volapük, Ido, Interlingua and many others. In the department’s reading room, discover a whole host of books and magazines in planned languages, multifaceted archives and impressive musical recordings and films.

Due to shutdown of the ordering system no orders of media can be accepted from Friday, July 22 until Friday, August 5 2022, 8 a.m. The first processing of books takes place on Friday, August 5 2022.
