“Bonvenon” to the Esperanto Museum
Discover the fascinating world of language invention and the faceted history of Esperanto spanning over 100 years in the Esperanto Museum at the Austrian National Library: from the publication of the first textbook in 1887 and its rapid spread before the First World War to its suppression during the time of National Socialism and, ultimately, its use today.
Due to official requirements the State Hall and all museums of the Austrian National Library are closed until presumably 12 December 2021.
The Austrian National Library will automatically extend all currently valid annual passes for the museums free of charge for the duration of the corona-related closure period once the museums have reopened. Holders do not have to take any further steps.
