“Bonvenon” to the Esperanto Museum
Discover the fascinating world of language invention and the faceted history of Esperanto spanning over 100 years in the Esperanto Museum at the Austrian National Library: from the publication of the first textbook in 1887 and its rapid spread before the First World War to its suppression during the time of National Socialism and, ultimately, its use today.
The museums and the State Hall are open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. On Thursdays the museums are open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. All visitors must wear an FFP2 mask in all museum areas.
