We preserve one of the world’s most important collections of manuscripts and old books. Search our catalogue QuickSearch and the digital library or read your ordered books in the Augustinian reading room.
The opening times at Heldenplatz are from Monday to Sunday from 9 am to 9 pm. The collections are open as usual (» summer opening times from July 1 until September 30). In all areas, visitors are required to wear a face mask, also at the reading desk.
The library and the collections are closed from Sunday July 25 until Thursday August 5.
Trainings on site can take place again. An overview of current dates (trainings on site and webinars) can be found on the » website. We are happy to offer further individually agreed appointments, including online-training courses on pre-academic work for schoolchildren, more information at information@onb.ac.at.
