Opening times museums

Along with governement guidelines, the museums and the statehall are currently closed and will re-open on Tuesday, May 4, guided online-tours will take place as usual. All valid annual tickets will automatically be prolonged for the duration of the closing time.

Opening times library and collections

The reading rooms are open again since May 3, 2021. The opening times at Heldenplatz are until further notice 9 am to 7 pm. The collections are open as usual.

In all areas, visitors are required to wear a FFP2-Mask and to keep their distance.

All valid annual tickets are automatically extended free of charge for the duration of the additional closing time, meaning 27 days.

Trainings can not take place on site at the moment. Our range of training courses has been expanded to include webinars, an overview of current dates can be found on the » homepage. We are happy to offer further individually agreed appointments, including online-training courses on pre-academic work for schoolchildren, more information at information@onb.ac.at.

Opening times public holidays

The library and the collections are closed on public holidays, this means also on May 13 (Ascension Day), May 23 and 24 (Whit Sunday and Whit Monday) as well as on June 3 (Corpus Christi). In the museums the regular opening times are valid.
