Bonvenon! Welcome!
The Department of Planned Languages of the Austrian National Library is home to the world’s largest specialist library for interlinguistics, documenting around 500 planned languages. In addition to Esperanto, the most important planned language in the world today, these also include Volapük, Ido, Interlingua and many others. In the department’s reading room, discover a whole host of books and magazines in planned languages, multifaceted archives and impressive musical recordings and films.
The reading rooms and the collections are open until December 23 as usual (Heldenplatz: 9 a.m. until 7 p.m.), then they must be closed to governmental restrictions. The reopening is announced for January 18. We'll keep you informed.
