The special exhibit

In 2020 the Austrian National Library presents six "special exhibits" from their rich holdings, which for reasons of conservation can be exhibited only rarely in public. These fascinating objects are displayed in our State Hall.

An Ancient Circus Programme

Chariot races were very popular in all the major cities of the Roman Empire, yet no more than a handful of circus programmes have survived on papyrus.
