“Bonvenon” to the Esperanto Museum
Discover the fascinating world of language invention and the faceted history of Esperanto spanning over 100 years in the Esperanto Museum at the Austrian National Library: from the publication of the first textbook in 1887 and its rapid spread before the First World War to its suppression during the time of National Socialism and, ultimately, its use today.
On December 24 the State Hall, the Literature Museum, the Globe Museum, the Papyrus Museum, the Esperanto Museum and the House of Austrian History will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. On all other days, including December 25, 26 and January 1 and additionally Monday, December 30 and Monday, January 6 the museums will be open during regular opening hours.
