With over three million objects of various historical types of media, the Picture Archives and Graphics Department is Austria’s largest centre of pictorial documentation. It is an archive, library, scientific picture agency and reproduction service point for picture orders from all the departments of the Austrian National Library.
Access Picture Archives and Graphics Department
Due to construction works for the new World Museum Vienna the access to the Picture Archives and Graphics Department is only possible accompanied by a doorman at the moment. His office is located right next to the entry of the construction site and marked as such. An undisturbed service is guaranteed, the regular opening hours are valid.
