Conditions

The client card of the Austrian National Library allows access to the Department according to the lines set out in the rules for use. In general objects ordered can be placed at one’s disposal immediately in the reading room of the Department. Borrowing printed materials from the holdings of the Department of Planned Languages is possible only with the appropriate proof of the right to borrow on the spot. Austriaca (valuable Austrian items) and rare objects are on principle not able to be borrowed.

The Department accepts at the current prices commissions to copy objects that are in a good state of repair.
Large commissions need from one to three days to be carried out.

Loans for exhibitions

Written requests for loans are to be directed to the director of the Department with details of the desired objects (if possible with call numbers), with information on the name of the borrower, the title, place and duration of the exhibition.
