Internet and laptop workstations

The Internet has become an essential medium for acquiring information. So the Austrian National Library offers free-of-charge access to the Internet as well as to many subscribed databases and electronic journals (see Database Infosystem and Electronic Journal Library).
Authentication of entitlement to access network applications is by user ID and password.  

Where

At all of the workstations in the information desk area of the Modern Library at Heldenplatz. You will find more Internet access on the lower ground floor in front of the Large Format Reading Room (Reading Room 4). In the Main Reading Room (Reading Room 1) and the Periodical Reading Room (Reading Room 3) there are connections for private laptops available. Through Wireless LAN you can get there access to the Internet, e-mail, etc. as well. In the Large Format Reading Room (Reading Room 4) and in most of the other reading rooms there are connections for private laptops at your disposal.

Training

Printouts, storing

You can print out the results of your research at the book issue area of the Large Format Reading Room (Reading Room 4, Mon – Sat 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.; 27th  –  31st July closed), or else store them on USB.
