Technical literature on the holdings of the Map Department can be researched in the  Druckschriftenkataloge (catalogue of printed materials). The works have the Department’s addendum “KAR” and can be consulted in the reading room of the Map Department.

The entire holdings of maps can be researched – independent of the year of publication – in  Quicksearch  

Views

The geographic-topographic views can be sought through the Picture Archives of the Austrian National Library. In the Bildkatalog (Picture catalogue) geographic-topographic views can be researched – divided  into graphics (to be used in the Map Department) and photographs (to be used in the Picture Archives).
