Rules for use

The client card of the Austrian National Library allows access to the Department according to the regulations in the rules of use. All objects and books in the Department can be ordered and examined unless there are objections of conservation grounds.

In general books that are ordered can be handed over immediately, while original objects (broadsheets, posters, ex libris) are handed over the next day in the reading room.

Reproductions

The making of photocopies is possible unless considerations of conservation rule that out.

Loans for exhibitions

Written requests for loans with indication of the desired objects (if possible, with call numbers) are to be directed to the Director of the Department, with the name of the person ordering, and the title, place, and duration of the exhibition.
