Ariadne

was set up in 1922 at the Austrian National Library as a documentary service specialising in women’s issues, and accepted holdings of specifically women’s issues in a particular manner. Among our tasks are:

  • Collection and editing of literature on women, feminism, and gender studies
  • Announcing the historical holdings
  • Setting up of a database on eclectic literature
  • Giving advice on research and carrying it out
